Things to do in Wynwood and the Design District

Wynwood and the Design District make up Miami's street art and design pocket on the mainland side of Biscayne Bay, a short Uber or drive from Downtown with no causeway involved.

The core draw is Wynwood Walls, a collection of large-scale murals that is only partly free to see: the curated compound charges an entrance fee (roughly $10 to $16), while the surrounding blocks of unaffiliated murals stay free to wander. Budget half a day for the murals and galleries alone, longer if the Design District's boutiques get added on.

This is not a twenty-minute stop, and it has little in common with the Cuban-exile streets of Little Havana or the office towers of Downtown and Brickell a few miles south.
